About Our Guest:
Kara’s journey to bring you Me Time Botanicals began after her own struggles with self-care and how it showed up on her skin. She found herself in an abusive marriage while trying to juggle it all. She constantly put herself last and didn’t know “me time” was a thing.
Hormonal acne was showing up on her skin because the stress was taking over and her cortisol levels (hello stress hormone) were off the charts. She wasn’t doing the best things for her skin, mental health, or body. She felt overwhelmed and insecure about how she looked. After many tear-filled sleepless nights, she realized if she was going to show up as her best self, it was important to fill up her own cup first. After building up the courage to leave an abusive relationship and (ultimately) finding true supportive love, she found happiness in yoga classes, meditation, and through the natural skincare rituals she was creating. Her skin started healing and so did her soul.
